The TPS has published a guide to the popular cds on Tasmanian Pictorials by Tasmanian postal historian John Hardinge. These popular Tasmanian postmarks are widely collected but the current rarity rating by Lancaster is now some 30 years out of date.
Many previously un-rated or un-listed date stamps are listed, some of which are rare or scarce. Many Tasmanian postmarks are illustrated with colour images. There are 48 pages in colour on high-quality paper.
The Guide features a greatly expanded rarity rating by John Hardinge, author of “Tasmanian Hand Cancellations 1913 – 88” and “The Post Offices of Tasmania” whihc are key references for collectors of Tasmanian Postmarks .
