Established 1901
The TPS Library holds a good selection of Catalogues, books, magazines, auction catalogues and other publications of interest to the philatelist. Watermark detectors and U/V short-wave and long-wave Lamps are also available for use by members.
Currently much of the Library is held at the TPS meeting Room at Legacy House, 159 Macquarie St, Hobart, and is available to members during monthly meetings. However, to make the most popular parts of collection more accessible, key sections have been progressively removed to the Tasmanian Stamp Auction premises at Level 1, 20 Watchorn St, Hobart, thanks to Ross Ewington's generous offer to provide space. Tasmanian, Australian States and Comonwealth references, current philatelic journals, The Courier and current auction catalogues can be found at TSA premises. Except for current catalogues which must be used on site, all publications may be viewed and borrowed.
