Bulgobac(1) 5 7 Jun 1938 26 Jul 1954 RRR> Opened 1 Jun 1938. Rarer postally used. Would rate RRRR thus
 
Mss 2 Jan 1955 11 Dec 1955 RRRR "W.Shepherdson" with date in pen. He was the postmaster at Bulgobac. CDS presumably lost.  Closed 31 Jun 1957. 
 
 
Bulgobac(2) Reopened 1 Jan 1958 as pastoral T.O. CDS does not appear to have been issued as not open to the general public. Present in the postal guides until some years later(about 1969) but closed 30 Jun 1964

Location: situated on the Emu Bay Railway approx. 13kms NNW of Tullah at 41° 37' 42" South, 145° 35' 41" East

  • closest post office to Bulgobac during it's periods of operation was at Tullah
  • Telephone Office only during the second period of operation and there is no evidence that a steel datestamp was issued for use 1958/64
  • listed in Postal Guides until c.1969 but the office definitely closed in 1964
  • connected to the outside world only by rail, Bulgobac was the site for many decades of a large sawmill as well as an E.B.R. siding with provision for locomotives to take on water
