John Hardinge’s major work on all Tasmanian Postmarks has sold out

After the release of “Tasmanian Postal History: The Post Offices and their Datestamps ” in June last year, orders for the un-sold copies soon exceeded stock.

Sadly there appear to be no books available on the secondary market either as of now.

Based on feedback from collectors, the TPS is considering  a new book containing some of the  information from the fist book and bound in a less expensive format. This would  still list all Offices and their datestamps with rarity, early/late dates and so on but sadly without the chapters on the postal history of the Tasmanian circular datestamps background.

We do not intend to re-print the original book, which is a one-off publication with a number of unique features. The original was section stitched, hard cover with dust jacket.

A new format may be spiral bound though we will use high quality paper and full colour digital printing. Should we decide to go ahead, we will advertise details on tasstampbooks.com
